The End of Racism

Are we now done talking about race in this country? Can we finally unload that perennial monkey off our backs now? O r are we now going to have to listen to explanations that everything that doesn't go Obama's way in the next four years is because of the institutional racism in this country? Have all the white liberals assuaged their guilt, by placing a man in office whose only qualifications are the color of his skin, and that he can sometimes read a teleprompter? Or should we bring out the cat-o-nine-tails and get in line? How far do we have to go, in the eyes of some, to purge ourselves of the sin of slavery, all too common to mankind, that we threw off at a cost of one half million lives more than one hundred and forty years ago?

No other country on the face of this planet has gone so far to prove its respect for all mankind as the United States of America. No other country has shed so much blood, or expended so many resources for noble deeds, for the benefit of men of all races, than the United States of America. And yet, in the eyes of many, it isn't enough, never will be enough. So now we have placed this great noble experiment in the hands of a man who could not pass an elementary security check, simply because he has some black blood. We are about to sacrifice the last best hope of mankind, to purge the guilt of something that happened long ago. Now our Isaac lays on the altar, bound and ready for slaughter. Will it be enough to have offered, or do we have to sacrifice this lamb?
